Over use and incorrect use are common causes of sport and exercise injuries. Newton’s law of force applies to the body as with all other objects. If the force generated is greater than the body part can structurally withstand, an injury will occur. This can be as a direct result of impacted or non-impacted. Changes of direction movement patterns and changes in environment are all potential contributing factors to injury. These injuries are known as acute. Injuries caused by overuse are it training or participating are often referred to as chronic. In so much that they have been an issue for a longer period.

Soft Tissue Therapy

Electively soft tissue therapy and sports massage are very similar. However, the benefits are not solely directed at sporting injury. Therefore, soft tissue therapy offers a more inclusion name. The therapy offers help and support for many muscular skeletal injuries and issues.

Various massage techniques are used to offer a remedy to a range of muscular injury and dysfunction. Soft tissue therapy can be painful during the treatment session. Often described by patients as good pain, you can feel the benefits even though the session may be painful in parts. It is part of the therapist’s skill and technique to understand the issues presented and the individual’s pain thresholds and to manage these in the most effective manner possible.
